Paris, France

Going to Paris and seeing the Eiffel Tower must be every little girl's dream. You see it in every movie; the charm, the romance, the city lights, the crepes and the gelato...oh gelato. Rachael and I visited Paris for the weekend in October. We got around everywhere via the metro and dominated it like champs. Our first day there we went out and visited the grand Notre Dame Cathedral. We walked around the area and ended up running into the famous Shakespeare bookstore (it's all over tumblr/Pinterest) and it was a really quaint little store. There was a restaurant right next door to it and they were playing salsa music so we automatically sat down and ate some great food. This dinner was obviously followed by crapes. all I can say is....OH MY.

We started out good our next day in Paris. After our bomb breakfast at HolyBelly, we headed into the downtown area. As every tourist, we walked by the Louvre Museum and the whole mile leading up to the Arc de Triomphe. You could see the Eiffel Tower peak through the buildings and Rache and I got that much more excited to get to it. We finally arrived at Trocadero park (the famous lookout of the tower) and the view was spectacular. We couldn't believe our eyes- we were actually in Paris! We ended the night with dinner at Chez Jannou- go there. Oh and gelato...duh.

On our last day we visited the Palace de Versailles- woah, it was stunning. We took a last stroll around the city and at night we bought wine and went back to the Eiffel Tower and watched it light up and sparkle..3 times.
Thanks for a great weekend, Paris.
